Changes in color or texture of the skin are common skin problems also known as warts, dark spots, blackheads and skin tags. They can happen because of inflammation, infection or allergic reactions anywhere on the body. Here, we’re presenting you with some remedies for these skin problems:
They are little bumps on the skin often caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). They are usually treated with acid or freezing. If the mainstream methods or treatments involving strange chemicals haven’t worked for you, then maybe you should try some of these easy and effective home remedies instead! Natural remedies do have a proven track record, but they aren’t overnight remedies. They work far faster than the months or years it takes a wart to disappear on its own, if it ever disappears. Nearly a quarter of warts disappear on their own within six months, but about a third still linger around 2 years after they first appear. Warts can be especially stubborn in children whose immune system is still developing.
1. Apple Cider Vinegar
Another natural wart remover is apple cider vinegar. You can also apply it in the evening. Just dip a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar, put it on the wart and wrap with a bandage. You can leave it overnight or for 24 hours, but make sure you replace it every day. You’ll see how the wart slowly shrivels up and disappears.
Mash some garlic. Use the juice of it and apply it on the wart. Cover it with a bandage. Apply this twice a day until the warts disappear.
3. Duct Tape
This treatment is usually backed by science. You should place a small piece of duct tape over the wart completely for 6 days, replacing the tape as needed. After 6 days, soak the wart in water and then rub it with an emery board or pumice stone. The following morning, apply some fresh duct tape for another 6 days and continue for 2 months or until the wart disappears.
This is another method also published by the medical journals. Apply the inside of a banana peel on the wart. Many people have had success by simply rubbing the inner surface of the banana peel over the wart several times a day. An even more effective technique is to press the inside of the peel over the wart and tape it in place at night before you go to bed. Remove it in the morning and wash the area. Repeat this procedure every night until the wart begins to soften about a week, but it should disappear completely within a few weeks to a month.
5. Pure Raw Honey
Manuka honey, harvested in New Zealand is known as the best type of raw honey. Organic honey is known as the healthiest way to treat warts. Just apply some honey on the wart and wrap a piece of cloth around it. Leave it to rest for 24 hours.
They usually appear around the neck, upper chest, underarms and eyelids. These are some natural remedies you can use at home:
1. Tea Tree Oil
It’s a slow process, but it certainly is one of the safest ways to remove skin tags around the eyes. Just dip a cotton ball with water and add several tea tree oil drops. Put the cotton ball on the skin tag and cover it with a bandage. Repeat the process 2-3 times a day.
2. Baking Soda And Castor Oil
This combination is an amazing and effective method to remove skin tags. You only need to mix castor oil and baking soda so that you can get a paste and apply it on the skin tag. Cover it with bandage. If you make some extra paste, store it in the fridge.
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
Dip a cotton ball in vinegar and put it on the skin tag. After several days, the skin tag will change its color to dark and it will fall off.
They are harmless and they don’t pose health concerns, but could be problematic from an aesthetic point of view as many people find them unattractive. They are medically known as melanocytic nevi. Moles are black, brown or flesh-colored spots or patches on the skin that form because of the collection of melanocytes. Melanocytes are cells that produce pigment, the coloring substance also called melanin.
Most moles appear by the age of 20 or 30. They can be flat or raised, rough or smooth, with or without hair. Factors like genetics, hormonal fluctuations and sun exposure may affect the number and appearance. Some moles may fade and disappear as person gets old, but not all and often not when people are mostly concerned with how they look. Some simple home remedies can help you get rid of unsightly moles.
You should certainly inspect your mole for abnormal characteristics such as asymmetry of the border, color or diameter before trying any of the remedies. If you notice any of these issues or the mole is
starting to change in shape or color without treatments, you should check it with a dermatologist to rule out the possibility of it being cancerous. Don’t attempt to treat cancerous moles on your own!
Crush a fresh garlic clove and place it on the mole. Tighten it with a bandage and leave it overnight or at least for four hours. Do this daily for a few hours. The mole will then fall off naturally. This method will give positive results within 5 days of daily application.
1. Castor Oil
This oil is known to help remove warts, moles and skin tags, because it helps dissolve and eliminate unusual growth. This method is also not likely to leave scars. However, it tends to take a lot of time as it gets rid of the moles one layer at a time. Mix a pinch of baking soda and several drops of castor oil. You can also mix in ground aspirin. Rub the mixture on your mole gently. Leave it on for several hours until it dries naturally. Perform this ritual twice a day for a month. If you don’t have baking soda, you can use only castor oil.
Crush 1 garlic clove and apply it over the mole. Use a bandage to cover it. Let it stay like that for 4 hours. You’ll notice the best results if you apply it before you go to bed and let it function throughout the night.
Take a cotton ball and dip it into some ACV. Put it on the area with moles. Let it stay throughout the night. The same procedure should be repeated for the following 10 days.
People believe that dark spots are a product of sun exposure and a maturing liver. Here are some natural and harmless remedies to cure them.
This vegetable will help you remove black spots. Simply squeeze onion juice and apply it on the dark spots. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it out. Do this procedure once a day.
Soak a cotton ball in lemon juice and rub it on the dark spot twice a day. The lemon will lighten the dark spot.
3. Aloe Vera
This remedy is very simple. You just need to put some fresh aloe vera on the dark spot and leave it on for half an hour. If you can’t find fresh aloe vera you can use internal aloe vera gel.
Prepare this kind of a pack and put it on the area with spots: 2 teaspoons of rose water, lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of sandalwood powder and 1 teaspoon each of glycerin. This should be repeated several times a week. Eliminate the pack using lots of cold water.
Clean the face well before you start performing this. Take a basin where you’ll pour hot water. Sit down and lean your face over the basin. Your head should be covered with a towel. Steam your face for about 10 minutes. In case you think it’s very hot, make a break. Then, relax for several seconds. After you’ve finished with the steaming, put some ACV toner on your face as well as a moisturizer which has coconut oil.
Clean your face well before you decide to use this method. Brush your face using gentle circular motions. Be especially careful around your eyes! The skin is very thin there. Then, use cool water to wash your face. Apply some moisturizer with coconut oil in the end.
3. Sugar scrub
First, crush 2 tablespoons of sugar to create a powder. Then, add some lemon juice. Combine a thick paste by mixing well. Put it on the area where you have clogged pores. Eliminate it using cool water. At the end wash well with cool water. Apply some moisturizer with coconut oil in the end.
